Diecast Markets is for diecast vehicles, scale models, and closely related collector items. This policy lists content and items that may not be listed, what is restricted, and how custom or modified items must be described. It is part of the Marketplace Terms and the Seller Agreement.
Prohibited items and content
- Sexual or explicit content, including pornography, nudity used as listing content, sexual services, or sexual content involving minors.
- Real firearms, ammunition, and weapon parts, including functional firearm components, silencers, magazines, and ammunition.
- Other real-world weapons and explosives, including prohibited or restricted knives, tasers, brass knuckles, explosive devices, fireworks, or items primarily intended to injure a person.
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances, including cannabis or other recreational drugs where marketplace sale is unlawful, as well as drug paraphernalia intended for drug use.
- Prescription or restricted medication and other regulated medical products that cannot lawfully be sold through the marketplace.
- Tobacco, nicotine, and vaping products, including cigarettes, cigars, vapes, e-liquids, and nicotine pouches.
- Alcoholic beverages.
- Hazardous materials, dangerous chemicals, poisons, radioactive materials, or other goods that create an unreasonable safety or shipping risk.
- Stolen goods, or items obtained through fraud.
- Counterfeit goods represented as authentic, including fake castings, reproduction packaging or cards passed off as original, and forged limited-edition markings.
- Unauthorized replicas where making or selling them is unlawful or infringes a trademark, copyright, or design right, including replicas that use a manufacturer's branding without permission.
- Hate or extremist merchandise that promotes or supports violent extremist organizations or hatred against protected groups.
- Graphic gore or violent content that is not reasonably necessary to describe a permitted collector item.
- Fraudulent listings: a photo or description of a different item, invented provenance, fake tracking, or a listing the seller does not intend to fulfil.
- Recalled or unsafe goods where selling them is unlawful, including items subject to a Health Canada recall that prohibits resale.
- Illegal goods: anything unlawful to sell, possess, advertise, or ship in the seller's or buyer's location.
- Deceptive listing practices: false condition, hidden damage, misleading series or year, keyword stuffing with brands that do not apply, or bait pricing.
- Items the seller has no right to sell, including consigned or borrowed items without authority and items subject to a court order, lien, or other restriction.
- Unrelated merchandise that is not a diecast/model vehicle or a closely related collector item or accessory.
Allowed collector context and restricted items
- Miniature or molded weapons that are clearly part of a diecast, model, diorama, or scale accessory are not treated as real firearms or weapons solely because they depict one. They must be non-functional and clearly part of the collector item.
- Custom, modified, or restored diecast is allowed only when the title and description clearly say it is custom, modified, or restored, and describe what was changed. It must not be represented as factory, stock, or manufacturer-authorized.
- Loose or repackaged items must state that packaging is not original.
- Prototypes, pre-production, or employee items may be listed only with honest provenance and no claim the seller cannot support.
- Items with batteries or small parts must be described accurately and shipped safely.
Automated moderation and review
Listing text and images may be screened by automated moderation tools before publication and again after an edit. A listing may be automatically published, rejected, or held from public view for review. Automated systems can make mistakes, so a seller may ask support@diecastmarkets.com for a manual review of a moderation decision. A request for review does not make a prohibited item eligible for sale.
Pro subscribers and approved Partnership stores receive trusted publishing with reduced image review: uploaded photos are still screened automatically, and listing text is always screened, but the second image review at publication is reduced to spot checks. This policy applies equally to every seller tier.
Enforcement
We may reject or remove a listing, hold a listing for review, cancel and refund an order, hold or reverse a payout where permitted, restrict selling, or suspend or close an account when we reasonably believe this policy has been breached. Pro or Partnership status never exempts a seller from this policy; a violation ends trusted publishing and returns the account to standard review, and severe or clearly illegal content may lead to immediate selling restriction, suspension, or account closure. Repeated or serious violations may lead to stronger account restrictions. Where the law requires, we may preserve relevant records or report a listing to authorities.
Report a prohibited listing to support@diecastmarkets.com. Rights holders should use the Intellectual Property Policy or write to legal@diecastmarkets.com.
